Flustering anatomical study

I sometimes find it helpful to draw anatomical studies of my own characters: how they would look if they had a real skeleton. I only do these for humanoid characters that aren't overly stylized.

On a blog dedicated to drawing, it makes sense to want to show drawing ability. But I don't have a fully clear conscience about this. Even though it's my own fictional character, I have mixed feeling about this rate of exposure (x-ray-ted). Here's how she would react if she saw this:

Rough drawn rather fast with the side of the pencil

Committing to interesting shapes, I think cartoons are most interesting to look at when there is asymmetry and slight 'cheating' of perspective. Funny shapes first.

Dulce's head is based on Porky Pig, I initially studied the screenshot below to better understand the head, But thought the pose was all so great that I had to draw the entire character.

Evolutionary Psychologist

Dulce Ball Z

Just for the fun of it, I drew Dulce in an Anime style

I started with the rough below

Then I proceeded to do a structured and clean version on tracing paper

The drawing was influenced primarily by Mink from "Dragon-Half", it's my favorite anime, too bad there's only 2 episodes! There is a longer Manga series that is also fun. Ryusuke Mita draws the most appealing Manga girls to my taste.
I was also inspired by Yoko from "Gurren Lagann", thank heavens there's 27 episodes of that incredible show! Highly recommended. Hiroyuki Imaishi's animation direction has real punch!
