Time to give a lil' sumpin' back

Sharper scans are up!

Put these up for John who sent me a very thoughtful and generous letter back in 1998. In his recent posts he talks about why its important to construct a drawing, rather than draw straight ahead.

Hi Amir,

Despite the fact that John has divulged most of the secrets of good cartooning to you in those handwritten notes, I still expect you come to my class next September to learn the few things that are left. Okay?! :)

What a mind-blowing thrill it must've been to open this envelope!

Great letter. I still need to sit down and do some hard core study of Preston Blair.

John K always seems to come across to me as kind of a jerk, but thats amazingly kind of him to take his time and send you a book even, shows he really does care, and hes got some very good info in those notes, even if i often take what he says on his blog with a grain of salt
